Texas Governor Rick Perry, Texas A&M alumnus, class of 1972, visited with Michelle DeIasi, class of ‘06, at the 2008 San Antonio A&M Club Muster at Aggie Park in San Antonio, Texas; Michelle is the Development Project Manager of Noah’s Ark Development. Aggie Muster, a Texas A&M tradition with origins dating back to 1883, is recognized each April 21st. University students and alumni gather to honor students and former students whose lives were lost in the preceding year.

Attendees at the San Antonio Muster listened in respectful silence as the Muster Host called “Roll Call”; this year a list of 51 alumni who have passed away since the 2007 Muster. As each name is called, family and friends respond to the Roll Call and light a candle in remembrance and to acknowledge the presence in spirit of the fallen Aggie. At the same time, on the Texas A&M campus at Reed Arena, 147 honorees, nation-wide and world-wide, were called and candles lit. While the largest Muster takes place at Texas A&M University in Reed Arena, alumni gather to pay tribute in as many as 400 locations throughout Texas, the United States, and around the world. Current students and former students are also collectively honored.

Michelle DeIasi joined Noah’s Ark Development, a Parham Group company, after graduating from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Marketing. Noah’s Ark Development, headquartered north of San Antonio, specializes in the investment, turn-key chain development and third-party development of Self Storage businesses as well as other commercial development in Texas, Florida and across the country. Among DeIasi’s duties are market and site analysis and feasibility. “She is quickly earning a reputation in the industry as the feasibility wiz,” stated Suzi Wilkins, Marketing Director for Noah’s Ark Development. “Her depth of knowledge and ability to understand the ‘big picture’ of the business of Self Storage is apparent. And her ability to communicate her findings allows clients to readily trust her direction.”

"Muster is one of the most recognized traditions of Texas A&M University and I feel blessed to be able to take part in it every year.  It was an honor to listen to Governor Perry recount his days at Texas A&M and talk about his pride in the armed forces," said DeIasi. “Muster is a time to remember and honor those who have passed throughout the year, and a time to reconnect with fellow Aggies.”
