Mike Parham, President and CEO of Noah’s Ark Development, is pleased to announce the sale of the Noah’s Ark Self Storage facilitylocated at 9528 White Settlement Road, in Fort Worth, TX, to W. P. Carey and Co. LLC. W.P. Carey and Co. is a leading real estate investment firm. The group owns more than 700 commercial and industrial properties in 13 countries. The sale was finalized on January 31; the center will become a United Stor-All location. The transaction exemplifies a growing inclination in the investment arena as self storage is being recognized by leading entities and periodicals as one of the strongest and most profitable options in real estate investment.
Noah’s Ark Development, a Parham Group company based in San Antonio, has been developing self storage for over two decades. In conjunction with NDS Construction and Cross Metal Buildings, the team designed and built the cutting-edge facility with their trademark customer-first perspective. The 87,700-square-foot storage complex incorporates 696 storage units, with 252 units utilizing climate control. Units range in size from 25 to 360 square feet. Customer friendly features include personally coded computerized entry, lighted extra-wide drives, digital video surveillance and onsite resident managers. Climate control buildings employ intercoms to the facility office and movement-sensitive lighting. Joshua Management, also a member of the Parham Group, has supervised the Fort Worth complex since its opening in July of 2005. “The overall quality of this property is apparent”, says Angie Kleinschmidt, Vice President of Operations for Joshua Management. “Every aspect from building layout to maintenance to accessibility and security has been engineered into the initial design.”
